We went to the porkies as they are called to see the sights and stay at a hotel for the night. We also visited Bergland, MI where we bought our first house and where Isaiah was born.
It is just to hard to update this blog with the kids! So I am just going to focus on updating with photos and videos instead of text. If I get time to to do text I will type in so when our family looks back on this we will have some more info on what we did.
Over these 10 days we went to Pioneer Days Negaunee, went to our cousin Jordan’s birthday party. I accepted the position of varsity boys basketball coach, we enjoyed the beach on many occasions, we enjoyed our backyard with water games and water fun. We removed 5 tons of gravel! Because they sent us the wrong gravel to cover the swing set area. We than moved 5 tons of gravel in. Big Brother 14 started and the wife and I are enjoying the cheesiness of this show in the summer. We updated the side of our house in the backyard. My brother Derek visited from Los Angeles. We enjoyed the beach again and again….
Onto the media (photos and videos)….
A day for projects to get done, well projects we didn’t plan to do, but it was very nice to get them done. Jessica and I added a nice rock garden area in the backyard next to the raised garden, and Jessica did a great job of adding in some special words on the rocks, when the kids woke up we painted their hands and had them put their hand prints on some of the rocks.
I painted the window and door trim on the back area of the house, I painted them the trim color of our house and it really looks nice now compared to how it looked before. I also added some pillars to the side of the sliding door earlier in the summer and I think I really like the look.
The wife and I ended the night by watching Friends With Kids.
I was really excited to see this movie, as I though the premise was good, but it seemed to really drag in spots as some scenes took to long to end. The wife fell asleep, never a good sign for a movie:) and I felt when it finished it was just an average movie.
